Gary Johnson

President

Gary founded Seashore Construction in 1983 and established the strong work ethic that Seashore is known for today. Today, Gary mentors his staff, promoting a positive and self-reliant work environment that encourages teamwork and a family atmosphere. His strategic focus is based on his beliefs that honesty, caring, loyalty and faith will enable Seashore to provide the best customer experience.

Gary has always been driven to do more. “I believe in being honest, fair, and working hard. The future of Seashore Construction is bright as the team values each other’s contributions, knowing that the customer is the top priority, and the job must be performed to meet Seashore Construction’s quality of work standards.”

Gary and his wife Sue enjoy spending time with their family, especially their seven grandchildren. The couple helps South Jersey communities by providing direct support to youth organizations, individuals who need assistance, and local charities.

Scott Brock

General Manager

Scott joined Seashore Construction in 2017 and today is responsible for executing the company’s strategic initiatives and overseeing day-to-day operations. With his eye on the future, Scott focuses his attention on opportunities for growth so Seashore Construction can continue to be an industry leader in South Jersey. He ensures the company embraces new and innovative products and techniques in the construction industry to better serve customers. Scott appreciates the longevity, dedication and drive of the Seashore team as they work together to make today better than tomorrow. “I am so proud to be part of the Seashore family. It’s that feeling of family that truly makes Seashore Construction special.”

Christy Dayton

Controller

Christy joined Seashore Construction in 2001 after she married Gary’s son Tom. Today her institutional knowledge expands her role in the company beyond finance. Christy is involved in almost every aspect of the business and works towards client and employee satisfaction. Christy aims to keep the atmosphere genuine and caring with open communication to foster an inclusive and rewarding environment. “We are a family business, and although not everyone is family, over the years our employees have become family. Many of our employees have been with us for over 15 years.” Christy enjoys traveling, camping, and spending time with her husband and kids.

Chuck Rood

Construction Operations Manager

Chuck joined Seashore in 2004 and today manages residential projects from start to finish, ensuring that each project meets client satisfaction. Chuck completes all blueprint takeoffs, works hand-in-hand with supervisors to coordinate the general carpentry, window, door, and siding installations, and focuses on quality and workmanship. Establishing trust and open communication is key to every project, “I enjoy building relationships with new and existing customers, co-workers, and trade partners.”

David J. Maina

Commercial Division Manager

David joined his brother Gary in 1987 after graduating from Rutgers University and today oversees the Commercial Roofing Division. David complements his brother’s skill sets and together, they grew the business from a small roofing company to a leading construction company in South Jersey.

David manages the commercial sales and operations with the understanding that success depends on Seashore’s ability to understand and exceed customer expectations. ”I have been with my brother Gary from the very humble beginnings of Seashore when it was just the two of us in a spare room in the house. It’s been an adventure and I’m proud of how far we have come and all the work that we have done.” David enjoys surfing, boating, fishing, and hiking in his spare time.
