Summary of Position:
- As an Exterior Remodeling Sales Representative, you’ll play a vital role in growing our business by connecting with customers, identifying their needs, and guiding them through roofing and exterior remodeling solutions that enhance their homes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Building: Cultivate long-term relationships with homeowners through active listening, clear communication, and a consultative approach. Understand their needs and offer tailored solutions.
- Product and Service Knowledge: Become a trusted expert on roofing, siding, windows, decking, and exterior remodeling. Stay current with design trends, material innovations, and construction methods.
- Sales Prospecting: Proactively generate leads through referrals, networking, canvassing, cold outreach, and community involvement. Residential and light commercial prospects are both in scope.
- Consultative Sales Process: Meet with homeowners, assess project goals, and recommend the right products and services. Provide accurate estimates and professional proposals that build trust and credibility.
- Sales Performance: Consistently meet or exceed sales targets through disciplined follow-up, strategic thinking, and proactive customer engagement.
- Market Awareness: Keep a pulse on local market conditions and competitor activity. Use insights to adapt your pitch and spot new opportunities.
- Customer Support: Serve as the key point of contact throughout the project. Ensure clients are informed and comfortable from initial contact through completion.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, contracts, and customer communications.
- Team Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with our estimators, project managers, and installation crews to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Professional Development: Participate in company-led and self-guided learning opportunities to sharpen your skills and stay ahead of industry trends.
Requirements:
- Sales: 3 years (Required)
- Proven success in outside sales, ideally within roofing, siding, windows, or exterior remodeling.
- Experience in residential deck building and/or design is a strong plus.
- Outstanding communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Consultative, customer-first mindset with a competitive edge.
- Self-motivated and able to manage your time and pipeline independently.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and basic sales tools.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
- Experience with the Sandler Selling System is a bonus—but not required. We offer training and support for the right candidate.
Salary Range: $75,000 – $150,000 per year
Supplemental Pay: Commission pay
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Weekends as needed
